Fundamentals of the Physical Universe
Fundamentals of the Physical Universe was a class directed for students planning on becoming an elementary educator. Fundamental concepts of physics and chemistry introduced included mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, atomic theory, bonding and chemical reactions. This course was presented concepts in a lecture and laboratory format and integrated constructivist strategies into the presentation of material.
This class was very hands on, and I really enjoyed that. We did a lot of different labs, and different lab write ups. We did labs and units including; mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, atomic theory, bonding and chemical reactions. Not only did we learn about all of these different subjects, we also got to learn how to teach these subjects to children. I believe that was the most beneficial part of the class, was being able to know how to teach material. During this class, we also had to come up with a lesson and teach it to a class of students. Below, please check out my final assessment, my mass in space lab, and my water testing lab.
